I have the sb3851 2016 version with my x900e and it works great, ARC seems to be stable and power on/off with the TV.

Best part is if I have the TV off and cast spotify, when I go back later to watch TV the soundbar is on the right input.

Still love those Yamaha for the looks of sophistication.

Do you happen to remember the price and model by any chance. It's a tough ask but taking a chance. :)

I was looking for Vizio sound bars too earlier. When I had the P65. But once I compared the P65 to X900E, I wanted to stay away from Vizio.

I know I am not comparing the same products. But I personally feel biased to go for Vizio again.

Thank you for contacting Costco.

Unfortunately, we are not experts on details for each item online. I wish I knew more about these. The site lists the following as included features;

Output power: 120 W
Wireless subwoofer
Virtual 3D surround sound by DTS Virtual:X (available via future firmware update)
Clear Voice function
5 surround modes
Wireless streaming via Bluetooth
Perhaps try calling Yamaha directly to ensure you get all your questions answered correctly.
Please respond to this email should you have any further questions or concerns.

Thats what you get for going through Costco or Bestbuy. "Experts"

Contact an independant Authorized dealer and you'll get real people who know what they are talking about who won't give you copy pasted answers.

I went for the Vizio 38-21C6, it dropped $25 in the past week probably trying to clear out old stock. Stacked with Masterpass promo it came to around $200.

Figured I'd start on the low end to see if it's suitable for me. It does have some good reviews. At least with Costco I have no worries about returns.

May be a typo. But did you overpay?

With masterpass promo, it should be 175.

They now have the 3821-D6 at $198ish, which has casting technology. Overall specs are the same for both bars and subwoofers, but I'm kinda dissapointed, I would have gotten the D6.

I may not even unbox the thing

I ended up getting the YAS 207 to go with my 55XBRX900E. I got it for $350 which is also a little bit more than I wanted to spend on a soundbar but it's been great so far.
