advice for getting out of a car lease
hey guys!
i need some advice for getting out of a car lease. i've seen some of thoe get-out-of-car-lease websites, but i don't know how successful that is. anybody have any experience doing it?
my fiance drives a 2007 subaru imprez SE edition and wants to get out of it for something more fuel efficient. she just got into the lease at the end of 06. there's really low milage on it.. maybe around 3500 km on it.
thanks.

leasebusters.com is a good website if you want someone else to take over the lease.

If you put in some incentives, it shouldn't be hard to move.

Yup, your best bet is to post it on sites like leasebusters and releaseme, along with sites like this, craigslist, kijiji etc.

one question... how much money would she be losing if she finds someone to take over? just the money she put into the lease so far?

That and along with the lease transfer fee ($400-800) , your security deposit, and you may have to ante up some cash to get it moved as an incentive.

I'm not sure how much $$$ you'll lose to break the lease. If your new lease on another car is the same amount, you better crunch some #'s and see if you actually save money on fuel... Doesn't appear she drives much too to really benefit on real savings. 2.5lL engine is pretty good on gas already... Good luck with whatever you want to do.
