Advice for joining a gym
So I'm about to join a gym soon, and was just wondering if anyone could share their experiences with the following gyms (I realize it'll vary from location to location, but share anyways).
Goodlife
LA Fitness
Premier Fitness
YMCA
Anytime Fitness
Snap Fitness
I'm gonna go to these gyms personally to check them out. What kind of questions should I be asking?
And also how much was/is your membership to these gyms? Thanks!

I'm with Snap at the moment on the month to month basis paying $35/month. I love it there. Not a lot of people even during peak hours, new machines, and pretty close to my house.
The only down side is lack of towel service and showers but it's only a 5 min drive away from home so that doesn't really matter for me.

Goodlife rocks, its only 8.50 a week so about a buck a day. They are corporately owned so they are clean and updated often

I go to goodlife and love it but could not get a good rate, so I'm paying the crappy $54/mo

go for a big name gym like goodlife and la if you want to check out girls.
if you are there to workout, look for a small local gym / community center and save some money.

equipment is the most important thing (atleast for me). ive been to different gyms and have seen some equipment ive never used before which gave me a good/different "pump".
Also for my local goodlife thet charge biweekly on a 1 year contract. so there are an extra 2 weeks they charge you on the 1 year contract i believe.

I signed up together with a friend and was offered $35/month as opposed to $40.
