Have you consider the gx470 falls in the same price range. if not i would go with the RX350 for luxury or MDX for sport.

advice re: used car purchase
I'm a used car newbie and am looking at picking one up this month.
My question is what is a typical/good amount (%) to get off the list price?
To give you an idea, I'm looking at an 07/08, MDX, RX350 or FX35. All in the $35k price range. Cash purchase.
Thanks!!!

Are you buying it off car dealership (pre-owned dept)? used car lot? or private?

Check the black book value and expect to pay something between that value and the list price.
I usually let them know what price I want, argue for a bit, leave, and they usually call back after a few days to accept it.
You will probably pay the biggest premium on the RX350 and FX35 due to high resale value, so the MDX is probably going to be the cheapest if you want to keep it for a longer amount of time.

Every dealer is different, some markup less than others. Some dealers list it at a price they won't go much below, while others list it at a price where they're willing to go more.
