If Esso is your preferred pump, then it's no trouble. Need to pump gas anyway. I wouldve qualified for this without even knowing. I pump 50L every week at Esso.

Is it supposed to be $1 = 1 point? I remeber getting 50 points for $50 now i'm only getting 16 for $50.
Is the payout really 3:1?

Is it me or does anyone else have problems swiping their aeroplan cards at the pump? I have tried with all the pumps locally, at other stations, and with a family members card. None would work.

It will work only when you go inside the station to pay for it .

Yes. With an aeroplan credit card it's $1 = 1 mile. Slightly more for gas/groceries + you get the 16 mile bonus on top.

Ok but I've been only getting the 16 points and not the 50. It must be because the few times I got $50 of gas it was with prepaid gift cards

Hmm, never tried it at the pump. Always pay inside.

You need to use an Aeroplan affiliated credit card like the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite to get 1:1 miles (on gas/groceries it's $1 = 1.5 miles). Using prepaid gift cards is the same as using cash.

3:1 for aeroplan rewards card. You need an aeroplan CC to get more.

I have been swiping our both orange version and white version of the Aeroplan cards at the pumps for the past 5+ years. No problem at all (I am in GTA).

Maybe $1 if you exchange for gift cards.

My most recent travel redemption would value these 150 points at nearly $6.

Have you tried their speedpass+ app? Working very good and you can combine saving card easily
