Affiliate tagged links through VPN not loading

I've been working around this for a while now, but I figure I should inquire to see if anyone knows the cause of the issue.
I use VPN service (PIA), connected through a Nordic location and many of the links shared in the Hot Deals forum never load in my Firefox browser. The new tab opens and the screen remains white. It needs to do some type of redirect but that never occurs. If I go to my local desktop (which isn't through a VPN), I can cut and paste the link in my browser and it loads without issue.

I can see the page gets stuck at links like this: http:// adfarm.mediaplex.com/ad/!fm/12308-88140-25987-3?VEN1=11322717&VEN2=237601112&SUB=81346034&CID=307338&LID=5815451&DGC=EM&url_str=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dell.com%2Fca%2Fp%2Fdeals%2Fpopular-laptop-deals-2

I can clean the link up and get to the site, but that is not very convenient.

I always check ( https://whoer.net/#extended ) and make sure my IP address I get through my VPN is not blacklisted (if it is, I submit requests to have it removed, which works fine)

I do have Adblocker Plus, but with it doesn't seem to be the issue as the links work fine without the VPN going and ABP running.

Suggestions? Is it just a limitation of using a VPN, like how I get Google Ads targeting me in the wrong language and how certain Canadian sites won't load as they don't make them available to people outside Canada?

Thanks :)

Not my area of expertise but does every single RFD affiliate link not work for you or just select ones?

It appears to be select ones. For example, I just clicked on one to deal at Staples and it loaded properly
Link that worked: http://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&mid=39728&murl=http://www.staples.ca/en/Step-Forward-80-Wheat-Straw-FSC-Certified-Copy-Paper-TRIAL-PACK/product_959036_2-CA_1_20001&u1=rfdcb

Yet, I go in to a different deal thread for the Microsoft store, click on the link and I get the white page with nothing loading:
http://clkde.tradedoubler.com/click?p=240780&a=2316686&g=21411798&epi=CAqD7bLWUPI-QDtGxcSlLkdzkgf74v1zGw&url=https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/Dell-Inspiron-15-i5559-4682SLV-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.333111400

The link that didn't load, I also tried with Microsoft Edge Browser and it doesn't load for it either, so that would help eliminate Firefox as being the cause or Ad Blocker Plus. I also have ABP disabled on RFD anyways.

Examples of others that load OK (ya, the first two don't have affiliate links on them, so probably not the best examples):

Hm, interesting. That link isn't actually a Microsoft Store affiliate link. Which thread did you come across it in?

I don't think it matters which thread I get certain site links from, they simply don't redirect me. I just picked the first Microsoft deal thread here:

http://forums.redflagdeals.com/microsoft-store-299-special-edition-500gb-xbox-one-s-blue-plus-free-game-live-now-update-free-controller-2058237/

Clicked on the link here and got the typical white page:

http://clkde.tradedoubler.com/click?p=240780&a=2316686&g=21411798&epi=CAqD7bLWUPI-VUbiHmKY_nB3xRkZDwKuiA&url=https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msca/en_CA/pdp/Xbox-One-S-Special-Edition-Console-500GB/productID.5083811100

Yet I can cut and paste that same link in to my browser when I am NOT in my VPN and the page loads fine.

I just did a Google search on http://clkde.tradedoubler.com

and I came across this page: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-clkuk-tradedoubler-com-ads/

It's suggesting I may have Malware causing this. I will do some scanning to see if it finds it.

EDIT: Ran Malwarebytes and Windows Defender - found a couple small things, neither of which made a difference.

EDIT 2: So the issue is definitely related in part to how the affiliate association is made. I found a thread here with the problem being discussed before, however unlike the user in it, turn off Adblocker Plus isn't a solution ( as I have it disabled for RFD and on my non-VPN desktop I have it enabled and the affiliate links are fine) . Here's the other thread: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/clicking-links-leads-anrdoezrs-net-1253184/

I was reading someone's complaint in Slickdeals forum, for the same issue I have. If you go to any of the domains below, they all redirect to http://www.cj.com (Commission Junction) which is a $/click marketing company. What I am trying to determine if this is a method of Ad revenue for RFD, forcing members through these sites? I don't have an issue with affiliate links and clicking on banner ads, but this method of generating revenue just doesn't work though the Anonymous VPN service I use and its a real pain editing links to reach the product being talked about.

Here's another example of deal link that doesn't load through the VPN:
http://www .jdoqocy.com/click-749547-10437934?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chapters.indigo.ca%2Fen-ca%2Fbooks%2Fme-reader-star-wars%2F9781503700321-item.html%3Fikwid%3Dme%2Bread%2Bstar%2Bwars%26ikwsec%3DHome%26ikwidx%3D0&sid=rfdcb

What I don't understand is why can't you just use the redirect link as you see the affiliate information in it and it loads fine through my VPN? (Links have been slightly modified with a "space" near the beginning so it doesn't get made in to a real link here)

https://www. chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/me-reader-star-wars/9781503700321-item.html?ikwid=me+read+star+wars&ikwsec=Home&ikwidx=0&s_campaign=aff-001-718969-Clear+Sky+Media+Inc+%28RedFlagDeals.com%2C+PriceCanada.com%29-Ongoing_Site_Indigo+Redirect_Text-10437934-749547

This was a list of sites that the click for money site also use for redirecting (although not current... this was from 2013):
