Was having what seemed to be handshake issues with aios to my Pioneer receiver so I updated to R16, it would show pivos loading screen then lose signal. Now the front power button does not operate, well don't know if it did originally the background is fuzzy and file manage does not function. Tried the R10 with a force flash and still nothing. Any ideas...

Just a warning do not flash the AIOS with a harddrive loaded, found out the hard way and it will go wacky. ANyone having issues with their receivers? It will show up fine at first and shows pivos loading but loses signal after it loads. Works fine when connected directly to the TV.

I returned this product to NCIX. Not interested in beta products with poorly designed remotes. Unfixed spelling errors in the UI is a deal-breaker for me.

The semiofficial releases fixes the spelling errors (those that was reported).
The XtrAIOS has a totally different firmware (which happens to be much more polished).
Can't argue about the remote though

aasoror, is there a way to hide my "hidden" folders, i.e., $D, $E, system folder, etc.? Also, I know I can probably change the theme, but is there a way to get rid of that hideous yellow background? I tried the wallpaper, but that only changes the main screen. Any help is appreciated. I'm not tech savvy, so may bypass upgrading it, since it works.

The Administrative shares can't be hidden but you can disable them from your windows machine (involves registry edits IIRC).
You can also directly access the public shares without browsing the machines, either use "share bookmarks" on the latest semiofficial or use "share favorits " on the XtrAIOS.

If you already have BC18 (which you must by now that you upgraded to R10), there is nothing much you can do beside trying the XtrAIOS.
Also might want to play with different HDMI cables and/or try different resolutions (press the TV system button to cycle between them).

Yeah I've tried the Xtraios and going to play around with some cables tomorrow thanks.

I had a similar issue - try turning your colour depth down. The default 12 bit makes my Onkyo receiver crap out.

After replacing my PBO with this one, all i have is trouble ... HDMI handshake if you connect it to the receiver (or splitter) the image just comes and gones .. flickering ... share with "NFS short cut" do not work with the Original and Semi-FW but work with Xtreamer, but Xtreamer remote is "slugy" ... it's like the 1st day of PBO, we are like "peggy pig" for this company ... with all the hype on this box, i still have to live with my PBO for now ... unfortunate shipping this back to NCIX will cost a little more + restocking fees made this buy a ... terrible experience ...

I should have wait for them to put out a better/mature firmware but price is so low to resit, so for now, it'll go back to it box and sitting in a coiner waiting for a better firmware or else it's going on fleybay or kijiji ...

looking at this one for $99 and seem to be a better deal (minus Browsing internet support):

To those who like the Xtreamer interface I am just going to throw this out there without much research of the product and vs aspect of things. Out of fun I threw in an offer of t$100 to meet the webcode embeded price and it got approved... not sure if I am going to pick it up until I research it further but it might be the perfect cheap media streaming solution:

Xtreamer Pro is based on the now discontinued 1283 DD+ (from 2010), its what is currently inside the PBO ($62 shipped after MIR from newegg).

To those who like the Xtreamer interface I am just going to throw this out there without much research of the product and vs aspect of things. I tried semi-official and it's the same. I am going back to XT and put up with the slight lag and some odd bugginess.

Thanks for the feedback, I have not had a chance to look it up in more details and check reviews. Man when I was submitting the $100 offer I figure give it a try, now that approved it I am not sure if I should take it

OK even if it seems like a decent deal it is older and I have no immediate need to get a new one. With many new ones being released 2012 and the AIOS holding me over I will wait to try one of the new Android based units... now just hoping prices will also come down faster but I suspect it will take another 4-6months for those to reach sub$100 levels...

Have a Popcorn Hour A-110 now trying this. How do you get the Movie Wall/Jukebox going with an internal Hard Drive? Been trying to get it going checking out various posts on aios forums.

When I click on HDD Jukebox it says unable to service request.

Also how do I delete A Jukebox Location? I made a few errrr extras no idea what I was doing.

The AIOS will just feed the display 1920x1080 (16:9) its up to the display to fit that properly to its (16:10 ar).

You still need to run the jukebox builder, please refer to the jukebox thread on the AIOS forums for more info and questions.
