Wow, you're absolutely right. Much more expensive from TO for the same dates.

In terms of getting the cheapest fares, it looks like it's mainly weekday fares. Dates that I found for YYZ-->CAS: Sep 13 (Monday) returning Sep 29 (Wednesday) - $595 total.

Overland travel in Morocco is relatively easy... certainly easier and more comfortable than in nearby West Africa. Marrakesh and Fez are more interesting than Casablanca, in my opinion.

This price is definitely amazing.

If you haven't been to Morocco, I think that's the best choice as it is the easiest one to travel around.

For one week, I'd spend a night in Casablanca (to see the Hassan II Mosque), 3-4 nights in Marrakech (one day in the city, an overnight desert camping trip, and a day trip to the Atlas mountains or Essaouria, time permitting), and 2 nights in Fez.

Best way to get around is to take the train. You can take the train right from the airport and connect at the main train station. From Casablanca, it's 3 hrs to Marrakech or about 4 hrs to Fez.

I go to the site, change it to YYZ to CAS and get $1022 for the dates you mentioned.
