I'll play around with the dates.
Anyone have any suggestions for someone who wants to go on their own for a week, looking to experience culture, good food and interesting people from the options?
Casablanca seems boring, but how close is it to places that might have more depth in Morocco? What about Algeria and Tunisia?
I've traveled a lot but not to N. Africa.
Thanks!Last edited by newt_101; Jun 4th, 2010 at 12:01 PM.

This price is definitely amazing.
If you haven't been to Morocco, I think that's the best choice as it is the easiest one to travel around.
For one week, I'd spend a night in Casablanca (to see the Hassan II Mosque), 3-4 nights in Marrakech (one day in the city, an overnight desert camping trip, and a day trip to the Atlas mountains or Essaouria, time permitting), and 2 nights in Fez.
Best way to get around is to take the train. You can take the train right from the airport and connect at the main train station. From Casablanca, it's 3 hrs to Marrakech or about 4 hrs to Fez._______________
