Airmiles Megamiles is back on March 8th: 1250 AM for 5 offers / 650 AM for 3 offers

Deal Link:
Retailer:
Air Miles
Megamiles is back on March 8th. Closes on April 12th.

Get 1250 Airmiles when using offers at 5 different partners, or 650 miles for 3 offers.

Just got the leaflet at my local IGA. Offers look similar to past deals. I guess online offers will be added on the 8th.

www.airmiles.ca/megamiles

Some offers in the leaflet for Quebec:

3x AM when spending 20$ at Jean-Coutu
20x miles when spending 50$ on cosmetics at Jean-Coutu
10 extra miles at Shell (25 liters minimum)
20 bonus miles when spending 100$ at IGA
25 extra miles when spending 50$ at The Bay
20 extra miles when spending 50$ at Children's place

If it's like the Shop the block promotion, online offers will be easier to attain (bonus miles on a single product).

Thread Summary
All credit goes to PointsHubby Post 542
No enrollment for the MegaMiles Promotion

Print and go (basically)

Start by going to the website = www.airmilesmegamiles.ca
Select your region
Read thru the offers (click on them to see how to use / fine print)

Find the offers you want to use
Click on the star in the top right corner of the coupon
That SAVES them

Go to the tab at the top of the page marked MY SAVED OFFERS
(Or some name like that)
Click on it... select Print

Some offers require coupons
Some don’t (fine print tells you)
Some are Tasks / Challenges
Such as the AM CC ones ... 20 Transactions between March 8th and April 12th

You need 5 DISTINCT PARTNERS to collect the BIG MM BONUS of 1250 AMs

But you can do as many Offers / Challenges as you like and collect their associated Bonus Miles
(Ie lots of folks will fill up a multitude of times at Shell ... or buy a multitude of Booze with Bonus AMs at the LCBO)

TIP - Paper Coupons historically get better results at the Cash Registers than E-Coupons on these Bonus Events
And NO ONE wants the hassle of chasing Missing AMs come Mid August (120 Days after the April 12th end of event)
Follow this thread occasionally for more first hand info / experiences & tips

NEWBIES looking to get an AM card and join this promo, please do the following FIRST, UNLESS you want Dream miles! The card DEFAULTS to Dream miles.

Option 1.
1. Register for the AM card online and print temporary card. (I usually take packaging tape and tape over it to prevent it from ripping.
2. Ensure your account is set to earn 100% cash miles
3. Wait 24 hrs BEFORE using the card for preference to take effect

Option 2.
1. Go to a store that has the physical card available like Staples, Shell, Metro, etc and grab a card package
2. Do NOT use card yet. Go online and register it.
3. Set AM preference to 100% cash
4. Wait 24 hrs for preference to take effect

If you want DREAM miles you can use the card right away. However honestly the points needed for certain items are more expensive than buying the item elsewhere. Much easier with cash miles.

An easy $130 and most likely will only need to spend about $75 or so.

For Airmiles events like shop the block, knowing 2+ weeks in advance is a good thing especially for new users. It allows some users who are short on some airmiles cash to start accruing them to be used during the event.

Shop the block had many offers (metro, Sobeys, Foodland, Hudson Bay) where spending the airmiles cash counted as 1 offer.

Bring it on AM !!!!
This year was the first time I am really using those AM.
In about 3 months, I was able to gets enough AM using the shoptheblock, amex soar2roar, amex card, bmo card to get 5 planes tickets to "les iles-de-la-madeleine" for summer vacations ...

Continuing to stack up in order to do it again next year ....

In MB, gas, groceries and liquor are a slam dunk. It's the other two that's hard... I'll need to think of whether I need anything from Staples or Rona...

After all those promos, I was expecting that to be a place in France. Googled it....Quebec lol....but then I see you're in Montreal, so I guess it makes sense...?
*RFD - once you're in there's no getting out.*

*If you wanna buy something, wait for it! Eventually RFD will post it and something in your pants will feel awesome that you waited: your wallet.*

I think you can use Sobeys, Safeway, and Iga each for a different "partner".

Oh, that's good news. Then this won't be an issue for me. I don't remember HBC being an Air Miles partner... that's interesting.

No problem. You can't just show your airmiles card to get points there but if you sign up to autoconvert HBC points then they are pretty much the same as a sponsor. The conversion isn't as good as HBC points though. 2000 HBC = 10$. 2000 HBC = 50 AM. Someone correct me if i am wrong.

LOL... me too.
It is a friend of mine that continuously ask us to go to his summer house "aux Iles" and told us that we could go for free (well almost as we still need to pay about 100$ per tickets for taxes), and "educated" me in order to get all those promos.

So far, I only see Shell offers being decent. Hope there'll be more for Ontario.

You can usually mix offers from different provinces for this, correct? I'm going to Vancouver in two weeks so if there's an easy offer I can do there that's not available in Ontario I want to take advantage.
