Air Miles Dream Miles - soon to expire after 5 years | update: no longer expring

With the upcoming expiry of Dream Air Miles expiring after 5 years, what are you guys spending your miles on?

Have around 1500 miles to spend. Didn't see any gift cards or car wash passes that they had in the past?

1500 can get you Ontario to NYC return in the low season (taxes and fees around $140 I think).

2400 can get you Ontario to Florida return in the off season if you have a BMO Gold credit card (taxes and fees again around $140)

I had 3300, spent 3000 on 2 round trip Halifax to New York. Worked out perfectly, the wife and I were planning on going to NYC for our anniversary and the day we wanted to leave was the first day of their "off season" discounted tickets at 1500 each.

We used some of ours last year and got a vacuum cleaner and a steam cleaner. Still have 1200 left to use. We also have used
them in the past for hotels in Whistler.

Hi there,

Yeah, it's a good idea to start spending it before the end of the year, so at least you have something to redeem them before everyone else start doing the same thing...

After redeeming switch to airmiles cash. Then you can redeem easier on the spot (if gift cards is what you wanted)

They won't do it. This is one reason I've stopped using airmails completely. Seems like a simple thing, but there is no 'one time' option even to do so.

There was a one-time option when they first launched the Cash Miles program.

I have ~750 Dream Miles. I have no clue what to do with them.

I'm sitting on 3100 and still am unsure what to do with them. It's been almost a decade since I started and still haven't collected a damn thing. I only get them from Shell, and recently, LCBO. I've never gotten over 200 miles per year, but this last year I got 1200 and got to Gold tier for the first time. I know I'll never reach Onyx, so I've been more on the lookout for something to cash out on while I'm on the Gold tier.

After about 12 years of collecting I had only 1200 miles. Redeemed 1000 for a Breville Panini press. Shipping was actually pretty quick, got it within about 5 days.

You might be able to sell them on Craigslist or Kijiji. I have a friend that is currently looking to buy Disneyland tickets and he has been looking for someone selling on Craigslist.
