Also might want to consider the Redmi K20 Pro released in China today. Around $500 Canadian. Link

Currently the cheapest you can get this at is ~$600 for the 64gb

It also only supports 2600mhz LTE in Canada so it is basically useless indoors

I have no idea about that merchant but if legit, anyone thinking about buying a Mi 9 might also consider this.
There are definitely reasons to get this over the mi 9. Especially at <$500

Having OIS on the camera is great.

No in display finger print is also great (seeing the scanner when your phone goes to ultra Bright mode on white backgrounds is annoying)

Yes, at this price even I'm tempted but I think I can resist temptation to around $400. If it goes that low on the next month or so, I think I'd be convinced to upgrade from my A1.

Haven't heard of that store but seems strange the photo they use in that link is of the Mi 8 Lite (i.e. not the Mi 8).

I think it's gonna be the Redmi K20 but rebranded as a Mi9 for the global market.

No band 4 is a critical thing to be missing. Better hope the global version has that if there is one

Based on what I've read the K20 and K20 pro are going to be rebranded as pocophones.

The phone they are showing in that picture is not the K20 Pro. The K20 Pro has the cameras aligned down the middle

At worst you'll have to pay your provincial tax if you use postal shipping or tax + $15 through DHL
