That is disgusting. Sounds like a HST being paid if the actual face value claimed. 545*0.13 + 10 handling around 80

I got the 20W from xiaomi. Works extremely well even with thick cases. The mi 9 will work on 5W, 10W chargers also though. I use the xiaomi 1A1C adapter with the 20W charger but a 27W adapter from xiaomi would also work

Is there a reason you chose not to get the 27w with it, I thought it was a standard for it to be bundled with it? Is it possible you can link the wireless charger you got? Please and thank you :)

I linked what I got a few pages back. The 1A1C is a better adapter because one port is 27W USB C and the other is a 30W regular USB so it just has more functionality.

Only been using it for a couple days. But I came from a OnePlus 3t and also have a pixel 3a. Today I was on track to get about 5 hours screen on time - but that was with brightness at 100% there entire time, while using Bluetooth earbuds the entire time, while playing NFS no limits and asphalt 9 the entire time. So I'd say pretty darn good. The pixel 3a by far has the best battery life though, I get 10 hours easily on it since the CPU is slower.

thanks for the feedback! yeah, perhaps a custom kernel would help with the battery life. the other thing is customs.. :)

I'm so glad I found this forum. Can someone guide me?

Looking to purchase the Mi 9, but am confused about LTE bands + importance of Global version or Rom in Canada --- mainly Ontario.

I'm with Freedom. I live in Toronto and will be in London often. I understand that the Global Version is compatible with the following FDD LTE B: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12,17*, 20, 28, 38, 39, 40

1) Does not support the new bands 13 and 66 that Freedom has
Is this a smart purchase (ie. "future-proof") or should I look into another phone that supports the Canadian market? Advice on other carriers are welcome too!

2a) Global Version vs Rom
Don't Global Versions support more LTE bands than regular Chinese versions? What's the difference that is making some people in this forum prefer the Global Rom instead?

2b) Is this why? Global Rom includes band 17
Is this a game-changer? Can this be achieved through purchasing the Global version + flashing the rom or is this ... just dumb?

Don't buy this phone if you want to use with Freedom, it's missing Band 66 for LTE.

Yes, you always want the Global version and not the Global ROM (which is usually a chinese variant loaded with the global rom).

No, you can't just get more LTE bands by flashing a different ROM. It's mostly a hardware thing.

I have an S8 and my contract is up in 2 months. Is the Mi 9 worth keeping an eye on, or is it expected there will be something better put in September?

My major upgrade focus is better camera (including night shots), better battery, and preferably more stock Android.

Which seller did you purchase from and what was the listed package value?
I ordered a OnePlus 7 on AliExpress from fantasy, stated value $15. Did not get hit with any duties or tax.
