This flick will make me sick.
It will be another silly film like Freddy vs. Jason. Predator was a very good and amazing movie, it was slightly ruined in the sequel but it was good....... until now. Hollywood must be producing movies for the idiotic juvenile bunch and not for the educated conservative majority.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked Vin Diesel for this post.

It will be nice to see "puppet style" effects like Cameron's Aliens._______________

I loved the concept when it was introduced in Predator 2. The comic series weren't too bad continuing the idea. The only thing that I don't really like is the battle is to be on Earth in the Anarctic. I guess we'll see if this actually works out or not.

Apr 14th, 2004 03:50 PM #11Give it a chance. Freddy vs Jason was pure camp and no one was really supposed to take it seriously. But I don't get that same sense with Alien vs Predator. Both franchaises are sci-fi icons, and I suspect their treatment will be handled properly. Loyal fans will demand it.Originally posted by Vin Diesel@Apr 14 2004, 04:04 AM

Okay I just saw the trailer for Alien vs. Predator and it looks promising and decent, it seems the producers are not going to turn it into another silly-funny comic relief like they did with Jason vs. Freddy. I'm dying to know what excuse they will use to make them meet together though, in Jason vs. Freddy we had the excuse of Freddy going to dig up Jason at his grave to ask for his help.

Gotta also remember the Friday 13th and nightmare on elm street were to franchises which were pushed farther then they should have. Freddy vs Jason was just a desperate attempt to milk more money out of the series.
Last summer I watched the 1st 2 friday 13th at my friends place on satelite. Those movies are so corny that I thought they were comedies.

Much more trailers/teasers now. Looks very promising. I actually went and got all the old movies to prep me for it...

The documentary ones were actually better than the real trailers IMO. August 2004, can't wait._______________
