It's not really bigger than the A1. The screen is taller but with the same width. The whole A1 is actually wider by a smidgen while just 3mm shorter and less than a mm thinner.

For your kid, go with the price. The Redmi 5 Plus would serve well.

You're right dude. I just checked the dimensions and they're pretty close. Was looking at the screen size (5.99" vs 5.5").

This reminds me of a few weeks ago when a trackable shipment from AliExpress was delivered to my community mailbox but the parcel locker key was mistakenly left in someone else's compartment. I called Canada Post to complain but they said that only the sender could open an investigation. Fortunately, an honest neighbour who had access to my package brought it to my door on the same day. The seller who I messaged about the situation didn't respond to me until two weeks later. If my mailman (or woman) screws up again after almost two months of this phone being in transit, it will only add insult to injury.

Happened to me and my neighbours.
That's why I have packages shipped to my work.

I ordered April 6th. Still no phone.
I did receive a full refund about a week ago.
Crappy thing is I already ordered a couple of cases for the phone and it actually seems lost (it has been 75 days!) So I have 2 useless cases now and am reluctant to order again from Ali "Express". lol "Express"

Wow, that's fast, pretty much on par with intra-Canada delivery time. Ok, so with that kind of speed we gotta know what it was you ordered?

I think the "express" part is really meant for the domestic Chinese market. It is "their" online retailer after all, much like ebay and amazon were, at least initally, created for the US market. For us here in a secondary market country, we have no equivalent so everything has to come from overseas (cheaper price + free shipping but wait up to 2 months or more) or the US (typically higher price + pay some huge exorbitant shipping plus fees)

That most recent order was 4 packs of T10 LEDs.
This is the type of order that I place and forget and wouldn't even consider disputing, as it was only USD $10.

Singapore post was the quickest and "reliable".
Ours got stuck in Malaysia's blackhole.

The great news is it look like AliExpress decided to dump the Malaysia route.

This is another reason why we need to ask for refund. To improve the logistic.

Wow. I asked the seller about the shipping before the purchase and they mentioned specifically of Singapore post, said it's fast and reliable. However it's the AE to send through Malaysia post and leave us in the dark. Completely unpredictable.

Hi there, I have finally received my Note5 yesterday after months of waiting. Since I chose free shipping I couldn't really complain. There was no tax or duties charged. Typing this on the phone now and loving it so far! Tracking status still says it's going to Vancouver so I would say don't rely on that and just be patience. It will come eventually. Best of luck everyone.

How many months/weeks to be exact since the "shipped" date?
