Everyone starts with a $3 credit. I think the rate is 2.5 cents a minute which would give you 2 hours of talk time to a US number...

Like YLSF said, you get a $3 credit, so I think they took money from that credit to pay for the call.

For the call to be free you and the person you want to call must be registered. To Register all they have to do is give their name, phone number and email to confirm info.

what about i register both number by myself as i can use different email add to register...so i can call any number free ?

i registered canadian number fine but when i tried registering india number it kept saying enter valid phone number when i was entering the rite number.... wht could be the problem?

Correct, you only get a 5 min trial. Then you have to register. Registering is free tho.

If you want your calls to be free the person you want to talk to has to register as well. If you put a number in your address book on their site the number will turn a green colour if they are registered, black if not.

Not to hard to get them to register if they have internet, all they need to enter is your name and phone number and email. No address or CC needed.
If they don't have internet If you wanted you could signup for them with their permission. They won't know if you use a different email. That's how I added my mom's phone number.

Yes, that's what I did. I think they only keep accounts for active numbers, so no calls are made with thier account after a while it could be deleted which just means you have to sign up for them again.

The reason is because when you log into the site they know you live in Canada because of your IP address. So it wants you to register with a Canadian number. That's why it wont work. You will have to change proxys so that they think you live in india.
I registered my Mom up and she lives in the US. I had to do the same thing. Change to a US proxy.

India is a Zone 4.

the Phone 2 Phone is only for Zones 1-2. Zone 3 needs to be passed way before Zone 4 will. So to answer your question for asking twice in the thread, heres your answer, now go buy a calling card and call your family back home and stop being so cheap J/K.
