Thanks OP, in for one. Strangely they charged my Amex in USD rather than CAD

Debating whether to call in and make a fuss over exchange rate XD

Lifetime Membership for only $1....why not
One reason is that the lifetime of the company might not be as long as you'd expect.

just to let ya know, they have some financial troubles too
Curious about this... please elaborate. Are you basing this on the Saint-Denis store closing over a year ago?

IMO they seem to be going strong, just shifted focus to online; they just overhauled the online store this year and moved to Shopify, have a strong online marketing with excellent social media presence and high quality quarterly catalogs in the mail, product collaborations with Arc’teryx, Mizuno, and others, continue to offer the cash-for-reviews program, decent stock with frequently added new products.

One of my favourite stores, prices comparable most of the time with Sail and MEC and the membership discount + frequent 20% codes are great. Just got two Helinox Chair Ones for $155 shipped using the 20%, alti-action charity promo, and some $10 review credits. All in price at MEC would have been $264. Live in Ottawa and if I order by noon it almost always arrives next day with the basic shipping.
