You will get some of that $39.22 (or the whole amount) refunded in about a month after the purchase.

I can vouch for this being an excellent razor. Can shave wet or dry and shaves incredibly close. I also noticed that the next gen model (5-blade, with cleaning station) has an $80 coupon, making it around $230 all in (on mobile so can't post the link, but it's ES-LV81). That is definutely the lowest price I have seen (here it's $299+tax).

Import fees deposit kills this deal for me......as there is NO GUARANTEE you'll get that $39.22 back.

There will always be import fees and even with no refund you're still saving $50 minimum over buying it here.

I would look at it from different perspective: about $14x Cad (Shipping +Tax etc all included). Is it best price comparing with Canada prices? Absolutely!

If you get whole or part of that duty fees back it'll be more hot. If not you still get the best price ever for this amazing shaver. Remember if we buy something in Canda we always need to pay taxes
So to put things in perspective e.g..(amazon.ca) $200 + tax. The tax portion alone, if buy in Canda, already $25-$30 dollars.

I'm also interested in knowing if it was your own experience? I know for a fact that amazon sometimes return part of your estimated import duty fees, but never heard of all fees returned

I have ordered many things from Amazon.com in the past. You don't get ALL of the import duty fees back, what they are doing is guessing at how much if any import duty will be, if the fees are lower they will refund you the difference approx. 30 days later. Here's a recent example that I have for everyone:

I purchased a Delta shower head from Amazon.com, and the invoice stated (all in US funds):
$129.11 (Item Cost)
$20.01 (Shipping)
$149.12 (Total before tax)

$28.98 (Import Fees Deposit) <<BTW, this includes both the duties AND taxes (which we have to at least pay the taxes here as well)

$178.10 (Total order cost)

Approx. a month later I received a refund of $8.19. This all depends on the duty of the individual item and the taxes that are collected.

Hope this helps clarify the refund of the import fees.

Had trouble with the coupon too. But after trying to add it several times from various places, it took it from the Cart (add to cart, view cart, click on Coupon link). But it had failed from there a couple times too.

Thanked!
