[Amazon.ca] Acer 27" Curved 144Hz 1ms 1440p FreeSync Adjustable Stand $429

I am not sure if this is amazon prime or not, it says "Spotlight Deal". If it's amazon prime only, I believe you can still get it with the free trial. This is a really good deal for a PC gaming monitor if you do not want ultrawide. It hits every single checkbox for a gaming monitor, and the price is extremely good.

For people who are not aware of what you want for PC gaming, you want:

1) high refresh rate (in this case 144hz, which makes rapid mouse movements look much smoother)
2) low response time (in this case 1ms, which is the lowest possible)
3) good resolution (1440p is great, much better than 1080p, and 4k is not something a competitive gamer would care about)
4) adaptive synchronization technology (freesync is for AMD cards, G-sync is for Nvidia cards. G-sync normally ups the monitor price by $200)

other stuff this monitor has is
5) a curve (this is probably not too noticeable since it is not ultrawide)
6) adjustable stand
7) a pretty small bezel, which in my opinion looks great

I've been searching everywhere for a ultrawide, curved, usb display that will charge my Macbook Air via USB-C.

Can't find one anywhere. The BENQ hits almost all the needs, but it's USB-C doesn't charge!

Anybody seen one?

I don't believe you can get a 1ms response time with IPS, which is the reason why the gaming panels tend to lean towards VA/TN.

If it were for casual use, casual gaming, movie watching, or for photo editing, then yes you might ideally want an IPS display. This is a great price for its intended audience, which is people who play online competitive games such as CSGO, DOTA 2, R6 Siege, etc
