That actually is not that bad. I kept finding $70 dollar ones. It didn't help that i saw the $15 M.2 NAND SSD enclosures first.
Yeah, if you don't mind waiting, that's likely a good option to go with:
Ships from China. Most customers receive within 9-18 days

Confirmed dead =(, one day thing I guess.
Nah, it's literally almost always available until it gets posted here or to /r/bapcsalescanada

Then it comes back a day or two later and stays available until the next deal thread.

Orico is garbage. Have 2 2.5" enclosures both failed. Windows won't disconnect them safely and had to unplug the drive. Didn't want to damage my drive so I stopped using them.
*Facepalm*, if they failed, then they won't be connected in the first place.
Windows won't disconnect the drive because of the apps / files you open on the system. Doh!

Base on that (level of understanding of how things work / issue identification / troubleshooting)...your user experience in Windows must suck a lot.

Nothing was running. As soon as I connect and try to disconnect it safely right away it won't let me.

I took the hard drive out and put it in other enclosures and everything works fine.

I built my own PC, previous one was AMD Phenom X4 many years ago and my most recent build is the Ryzen 5 2600x + Asus MB deal that was posted here last week. My first PC was IBM 486 with windows 3.1 and DOS. That's before internet time.

I was trying to help people out not wasting money on orico garbage and potentially kill their hard drives.

Thanks for the insults though.

Water loo
Put this drive in my unraid array as a cache drive... wow this sucker gets hot under sustained use. idle around 28C and peaked at 59C under load for 3 hours.
