Why is it so hard, to find just a simple digital LED clock, with no fancy stuff that isn't $20+?

This one comes really close, but lack of AC power kills it for me :(

Once I tried an alarm clock with wall/ceiling projection, I'd never got back to a regular one. This one is $25.99 (reg. $39.99) and has great reviews: here (B on fakespot)

Thanks. Bought two!

Finally an alarm clock at a decent price that does a normal 24 hour clock and isn't stuck on the American 12 hour clock!

fyi their cables tend to break easily but free replacement. It is the same quality as Amazon 3rd party sellers.

Their inks are good though

Lol I'm actually the opposite, growing up using analog clocks which tops at 12, I can't wrap my head around the 24h format.

I bought two of these for the kids rooms. They had a different brand name on them but both have been thrown out. We found them to dim, unless they were at the right height, or right beside the kids beds, and then they became a distraction.
Replaced one with a used $9.99 Optimus. The 9V in it expired in 1998, but the clock still works like new. They didn't know about built-in obselesence yet.

Some of my LCD Clocks are dim unless I use non-rechargable Duracell. Apparently rechargeable batteries only gives out 1.2V instead of 1.5V

I grew up with only analog clocks as well, however, I have never used the 12 hour system, not even as a kid. Always the 24 hour system. Respectfully, a day has 24 hours, not 12.... I also can't wrap my head around some analog clocks having 24 on it above the 12. This strikes me as Americans who don't get the system. The clock rolls over to 00:00 after 23:59:59 and not 24:00...

damn. I was hoping for those digital ones where the numbers are in red or green. No need for a backlight. I don't know if they even make those kinds of alarm clocks anymore!

I bought one that looks exactly like this on AliExpress a few months back. Beware that if you are viewing the clock at an angle, the display will appear blank. Only well if you look straight at it.

Its a sweet deal, but makes laugh. Do people still have alarm clocks? I always use my cellphone for this purpose. Or I could use amazon echo or google home --but still use my cellphone.

An old cell phone is re-purposed as my backup alarm clock. I have it plugged into an AC timer outlet which charges a couple hours a day. If it were plugged in all the time, the battery will expand after months. It happened to a phone I was using as a baby monitor. I would rely on a dedicate alarm clock over a cell phone. The battery in my clock lasts a least a year. Another clock is used by my wife which has projection. She has her own wake-up times.

Well I have my iPhone for everything, so I also use it for my alarm. It needs to be charged overnight anyways.
