[Amazon Canada] Amazon.ca 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Sale

I just noticed that Amazon.ca put a whole bunch of 4K blu-ray movies on sale. Movies worth getting are Unforgiven, Creed, Tomb Raider, Blade Runner 2045, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy. Many of the 4K blu-rays just put on sale were recently cheaper, such as Lucy ($14.99) and The Matrix Trilogy ($49.99). I think Best Buy also had Westworld Season 1 for $19.99, but don't quote me on that. Best Buy also marked some 4K blu-rays down to $12.99, but nothing great. There could also be some price matching opportunities, since it's not Boxing Week yet.

If you want to see the most current list of 4K blu-rays on sale on Amazon, click the link below and set your country to Canada.

Opened Amazon App. Added 4K movies to cart. Realized I got no 4K blu-ray player. Sad life.

Good find, OP. +1

Anything you can really see the difference between a 4K blurry and other source?

If you have a good quality 4K screen that’s at least 55” with real HDR and a high quality 4K Blu-Ray player yes, otherwise it’s hard to spot the difference.

Also keep in mind they almost always come with a regular blu ray and digital copies. So if you are thinking of getting into 4K later, you can still watch these.

Also, a ton of DC Comics shows are on sale. I topped up my collection.

i would say HDR is the bigger deal.
your eyes can only see so much detail at various size/distances.
here's a post on the subject from a hollywood director/VFX supervisor https://prolost.com/blog/2013/1/22/4k-i ... html?rq=4k

basically you're not going to see much difference in resolution unless your screen is going to be 80 inches upward, and you're sitting within 8-10feet.

thats why i want like a 75 inch+ tv next. i dont get why a lot of the manufactures are not providing enough 75 inch+ options.

I don't know much about the others, but Inception is definitely not worth upgrading to if you already have the 1080p Bluray version. Just FYI

You may have been thinking about Interstellar, which is quite an upgrade (at least according to the review) but hard to find in Canada for some reason.

Of course, if you don't own the regular Bluray and like both movies, then either is a great buy.

It's not the screen size that's important, it's the seating distance.

Also, not all HDR sets are equal. Even a decent mid-range tv's HDR cannot hold a candle to a high end OLED set.
