Not sure if repost, saw the thread for fire hd 8 but not 10.

64GB is also on sale for $199

You can install the google play store to make it that much better.

I did not know we could install google play store, is it some sort of emulator or its run like a native android tablet, asking because my concern about performance issue if bad emulation.

My understanding is it runs on a propriety version of Android, but I am not an expert. I followed some instructions off YouTube and I was able to "side-load" google play store. So far I have loaded a couple of Apps like Shaw free range TV app from the Play store and I have not had any problems. For the price of this tablet, I am pleasantly surprised with the purchase.

It is native Google Play. Of course, there is going to be some odd-ball app that may not work. But majority of Google Play app works quite well.

No Alexa. US version has Handsfree Alexa. Any way to get that in canadian version

it should actually be $149 - go to the fire 8 page, and there is a banner to save $50 on the fire 10. i chatted with customer service and they said it's a glitch and they would give a $10 credit, so give it a shot.

Nope. Even worse than that. I bought mine in Florida. As soon as I logged into my Canadian Amazon account... Bam.. no more Alexa. I created a US account and it was back. When I came back to Canada, it detected my location and disregarded the us account.. bam... No more Alexa.

I have both this hd10 and hd8. It's much faster. Faster cpu and more ram. Mind you i only use it to browse the internet, email, home automation, and read books
