You won't see the Prime Student Member discount until the very last screen where you submit your order.

Awesome find! I was decrying my indecisiveness in ordering the 9 knife set. I was around $50 and had a 25% Prime student discount on it until a few days ago when the regular price shot up to 86. Now this one, with the steak knives set on top is about the same price as the initial deal on the 9-piece. If you need knives, this deal is fantastic.

i didn't get the student discount. I contacted amazon and they told me: Two promos can't be applied on one order. As you've got lightning deal promotion , so you were not eligible if there is some prime promotion.

Could you confirm that you stacked both?

I jumped on it.. I like the additional scissors on the knife set, compared to the 9-knife block

I was able to convince the Amazon customer service: "I'll go ahead and issue a $20 refund for you as a one time gesture"

According to him, we shouldn't be able to stack both discount...?

we could always stack both discounts on lightning deals for amazonbasics stuff.

but if he thinks we really shouldn't be able to stack. It means we got an awesome deal :D

Thanks for this! was waiting on the 9 piece set, this is awesome! To those finding that the deal is 100% claimed, click on the waiting list button and try reloading, was able to get it (and had 3 minutes to add to cart) within about a minute :)

I was also curious, looks like in general people expressed positive feedback but a few actually claims their knives don't stay sharp... I didn't end up buying it though, probably still would avoid made in china knives.

sure i wont need/use all of these knifes but $2.67 a knife you can't go wrong on the price

40/15 = 2.67 (just the knifes)
