[Amazon Canada] AMD Ryzen 3900x CPU - $556.77 (price error?)

I'm pretty sure it's a price error and delivers in 1-2 months but doesnt hurt to try and order. Enjoy
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07SXM ... UTF8&psc=1

Ordered it anyway even though i wasn't going to go this high. Total comes to [removed because price has changed]

PSA As noted by some posters clicking the original link for some reason included my address and information please check your orders and make sure that you shipped it to the correct address and not mine. Although i would love to get free cpus that was not my intention when i posted the deal. With all the funky stuff going on with the amazon site i'm not surprised. I have changed the link now and hopefully it works properly.

Thread Summary
DO NOT CONTACT THE RETAILER EVER IN CASE OF A PRICE ERROR. You will never get your order confirmed by asking if the price is legit. The price is not legit. Stop calling.

There's a lot of discussion here, I've provided my summary recommendation below.

This conversation is turning a little. Knives are being pulled, brothers being called.

For those new readers looking at a new Ryzen 3700X or higher:
1) Buy this 'deep discount' 3900X as a hedge
2) Hold until delivery or cancellation
3) if you're cancelled, come here to strategize.

God bless.

Ok, buy first, think later.

I've bought, now some thoughts.

Keepa price history suggests the previous price was roughly $575 for days before, does Amazon think it's shipping a different CPU?

Weird thing is I tried searching for it and it doesn't come up but the 3800x does so I think they might have switched the prices on them.

$528 instead of $700? That's not a price error, that's a discount. Maybe at $200 I would pull the trigger even if I don't own a PC or a monitor or a TV :D

For some reason the technical description says 4.5 GHz Ryzen 7 2700X.

But wtv.

Description is off:

The world's most advanced processor in the desktop PC gaming segment
Can deliver ultra-fast 100+ FPS performance in the world's most popular games
8 Cores and 16 processing threads, bundled with the AMD Wraith Prism cooler with color-controlled LED support
4.5 GHz Max Boost, unlocked for overclocking, 36 MB of game Cache, ddr-3200 support
For the advanced socket AM4 platform, can support PCIe 4.0 on x570 motherboards

They've got a revolt on their hands if they ship the wrong CPU.

499.99 United States Dollar equals 653.61 Canadian Dollar

Only $100ish savings based on the US prices?

Further investigation suggests that the listing might be for the 3900X, but some of the description information and pricing merged with another listing. The reviews and other details correctly identify 3900X however.

We still may get our 3900X orders. There's some hope.
