[Amazon Canada] Anker Powercore 10000 $36

On sale for $38 + another $2 coupon off.

I saw someone post the 5000 at this price saying it was hot so thought I'd post this as just bought one. There are the newer versions Powercore II and Slim for a bit more if you're interested, but as an Iphone owner older than series 8, this one does everything the other ones do and it's a bit lighter.

Slow charging only 10K power bank for $36. Neither USB-PD or QC. Am I missing something?

This is comparable to Lenovo one that's been coming back for $15 or Memory Express one for $10?

probably not missing anything - saw the 5K version on here for this price and people seemed to think it was a great buy so threw this up.

I purchased 10 of the Lenovo 10,000mAh when they were on for $15. Great buy.

Anker is a great brand with a good rep. If their 22,600mAh was this price i would buy.

I think the 5K version posted was a wall-plug adapter. I own one - totally different thing than this basic 10k bank.

I think that most power banks that rely solely on micro USB input ports are likely not selling very well, thus the reason why many have been discounted.

Given that most new phones over the last little while come with USB C ports, people may not want to carry around two cables (USB-C to charge phone, and a Micro USB to charge the battery).

I would expect to see more stock clearing as battery manufacturers push out older micro USB only batteries to make room for new USB C models with QC and USB PD.

There is more to a deal than just most mAh for the price... but that being said, Rav Power is a decent brand. With comparable specs, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I think the RavPower one probably has an extra battery in it... so it's a bit larger and heavier too. Not sure of the other specs though.

out of curiosity, is there a better power bank of 10K on Amazon I should return the Anker for and get - in the sub $40?

I like Anker as they use quality parts, doesn't seem like a sale though as the QC version is just $4 more.

Xiaomi make great banks as well but no deals stick out right now.

I personally think the $45 ($50-$5 coupon) powercore 2 (20,000mAh) is a fantastic deal. I personally missed out on this and purchased it at $50.

3x output and 2x input takes the cake for me

don't you need another piece of equipment to make the input QC work? and for output it only works on certain phones right?

Exactly. Don't see why they still keep pumping out micro-usb devices.

From what I figured out, it doesn't do QC or anything. It will do up to 5V/2A on all 3 posts at the same time, and it will take 5V/2A on both inputs.

Edit:
To answer your question, it depends on your equipment. Personally I have a dual USB power plug so I didn't need anything extra to charge it
