$249 for a SD430 phone doesn't seem too great when you can get SD820 phones that cheap..

I agree $250 for SD430 seems a bit meh, but which SD820 phone can you get for the same price?

I swear my only posts on RFD are about this phone but here goes...!

I have the Lenovo Zuk Z2 and it's got a SD820 and an Adreno 530 with 4GB RAM and I've been super impressed with it. Also you can get it as low as $230CAD

When you put words like without contract in the sentence, then it is very obvious that you are not looking beyond carrier phones. The value purchases are made via third party sellers, not carriers.

Very cool phone

I'm almost tempted to upgrade from my SE w810i.

I have the Zenfone 3 64GB and I love it. But don't upgrade to their latest firmware. Heard a bunch of complaints on their asus forum. Still run the August 2016 update and it's working like a charm. Dual SIM is amazin, not sure if this comes with dual SIM too, but if it does, get it.

Warranty, maybe. Local, not a chance. The shipping time is amazingly fast, 3 weeks.

Manufacturers that provide good software support is coveted. Then there is Asus pushing out bad updates, causing customers to want no software support. I had a zenfone 2 that worked well until the update to android 6. That basically killed the battery. That is the reason for getting the Le Max 2. Now the tolerance for a bad software build is about 7 days.
