[Amazon.ca] AUKEY 1080p Dual Dash Cams 2.7” Screen, Full HD Front Rear Camera, 6-Lane 170° Wide-Angle Lens, G-Sensor - $140

Lowest price in its history I believe at $140 for front and rear dash cams. Code is in the special offer section: AUKEY339. $40 off.

How is this in comparison to the G1W i got a long time ago and the A119S v2? the latter of which i see go on sale for around $80-90~

I think night time quality is the most important, and i'm willing to pay for quality.

What's the difference between the one that OP posted and this one?

From what I can gather, smaller display screen. Suction mount rather than 3M tape mount making the entire unit to be a bit bulky when installed. Aside from that, should be similar results in terms of video recording.

Yeah I avoid aukey for the most part now, can't tell if the reviews are genuine or not. Just need to threaten to give a low rating and you can get it almost for free if you change it to 5 star.

My aukey dash is still holding up well after one year. Ignore the reviews like someone else said though.

Hide it in the liners, pillars, dash, anywhere you can tuck it in. Its like cable management you do in your computer but for cars. The hardest part is tapping into the ignition/fuse. I got lockdown security in markham to do mine because I didn't want the hassle of it all again. Its $60 plus tax if you bring your own cables.

Anyone know if you can use this as a backup camera when you are reversing the car?

unsure if it would be good for that to be honest. typically you want backup camera so you can see where your bumper is, and for items out of view. mounted to your rear window will not be very effective. might work on a hatch, or like an SUV truck though. sedan might not be so good.

Looks like front cam is different but dont know what difference it makes. I've been using the other one for almost a year. Only complaint is how the night vision is not that great

The preview screen isn't all that big. I wouldn't depend on it for that use.

The front camera on the one you posted, which is what I have, is much smaller and does not hang off the windshield. It calls far less attention to itself. Pretty much the same resolution: these are from my camera; the cropped ones are at dusk driving west into the sunset.

By the way, wait for a sale. They crop up every few months.

Damn one has to be literally bumper to bumper to be able to see the plate in DAYLIGHT? doesnt look promising in term of detail quality but not too bad.

Anyone have the a118 or a119 daylight pictures they can share to compare?

This is the AB orange plate which is hard for EYES to see at distance.

If you want better resolution, be prepared to spend $400+ for true 4K.
