[Amazon Canada] Braun 9 series electric shavers from $218.99

Deal of the day for Braun 9 series electric shavers. Very good shaver, I got mine 5 series from Costco couple of months ago. But, this one is a step one up model. With a cleaning dock $251.97 9095 CC and without one model 9093CC for $218.99.

The 9 series head is 3x the cost of the 7 series head. It's a bit too much. With these Braun shavers, if you do not replace the head every 1.5 years, the unit gets really hot and does not shave well. You kinda have to replace it.

The increased costs of consumables of these things is one of the reasons why I have switched back to wet shaving.

Been looking to get a wet shaver to replace my old one but didn't expect them to be so pricey, along with replacement heads and all. I've heard Panasonic's a better brand to go after over Braun when it comes to wet shavers, how true is that?

Hi guys, I'm in a market for a new electric shaver because my 8 years-old Philips just died. Any other recommendation for a dry, everyday shave ?

Thanks,

C.

My Braun series 5 is really nice shaver. Comes with spare head, $150 at Costco. When I got it, it was $40 off.

Have this as well and it does a good job imo. Replacement head is also reasonably priced.

Read this review and decide if you want a series 5 or series 9. Note I didn't say series 7 for a reason. Series 5 is a better buy, even at $150 at Costco.

Review of Series 5:

Review of Series 5,7,9 (scroll down to Braun section):

I recently purchased the Series 5 at Costco, came with an extra head. It's also a wet/dry model you can use in the shower. My one major gripe with it - the thing vibrates like a beast. Feels like the hand holding it is constantly vibrating - very annoying and uncomfortable feeling. They could have done a much better job dampening the vibration. Anyone else have this issue?

Many thing to factor in, what model did you have, it will help on recommendation. Is your beard hard/fastly growing? Is it whitish? Did you like the feeling of the 3 rotary heads?

That's different for everyone, I sell shaver heads daily and by experience I can tell you some people replace them each 5-6 years without problem, some replace them each 6 mouths, if you don't have the right shaver for your skin/beard you will not get proper result with your heads.
CLEAN YOUR SHAVER HEADS EACH TIME. It take a minute. Some people clean them once a month or worst, never. You put that stuff in your face, I saw worm alive inside shaver. People are disgusting then expect miracle.
When shopping braun head, get real germany head, not stupid chinese/korean crap, trust me, they last 1/10 as long.

Those flat long designs don't work well. If you seriously want a good shave get the 3 rotating triangle version of the shaver for the contours of your face.
