[Amazon.ca] DEWALT DCS355D1 20V XR Lithium-Ion Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit $169.95 (Incl 2Ah battery)

Just noticed this great multi-purpose tool at its lowest price according to keepa. It's a kit which includes one 2Ah battery. Home Depot sells it for $281 at the moment, or $139 (after 22% discount) for just the bare tool.

Kit includes:
(1) DCS355 20V MAX XR Oscillating Tool, (1) DCB203: 20V MAX XR Compact Li-Ion Battery (2.0Ah), (1) fast charger, (1) DEWALT Oscillating Tool Guide System, (1) wood with nails blade, (1) sanding pad, (25) sheets of sanding paper, (1) universal accessory adaptor, (1) contractor bag and an accessory storage box.
Also the picture shows two blades are included. So I'm guessing the other one not listed is the fast-cut wood blade.

You can also get the kit with accessory bundle for $205.94. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01E9XE42I

If you want a tool that's not Dewalt battery dependent, the corded is the way to go.
IMHO, unless you are in the Dewalt battery ecosystem, there is no reason to buy this.

Well this kit does include a battery and a charger. So it's kind of independent of whatever system you are into. But ya, one battery can be a little limiting if you are doing work back to back.

Just for comparison, this does include all of the following:
(1) DCS355 20V MAX XR Oscillating Tool, (1) DCB203: 20V MAX XR Compact Li-Ion Battery (2.0Ah), (1) fast charger, (1) DEWALT Oscillating Tool Guide System, (1) wood with nails blade, (1) sanding pad, (25) sheets of sanding paper, (1) universal accessory adaptor, (1) contractor bag and an accessory storage box.
Also the picture shows two blades are included. So I'm guessing the other one not listed is the fast-cut wood blade.

I believe the bare tool version includes only the following: according to this page (https://www.amazon.ca/DEWALT-DCS355B-20 ... B00FM4E3SE)
DCS355 20V MAX Oscillating Tool, wood with nails blade, fast-cut wood blade, universal accessory adapter.

So with the bare tool purchase from IHLCanada, you save $70 but forgoes the (1) DCB203: 20V MAX XR Compact Li-Ion Battery (2.0Ah), (1) fast charger, (1) sanding pad, (25) sheets of sanding paper, (1) contractor bag and an accessory storage box.

I guess it really boils down to what you already have and need.

For those of you with a KMStools around, they have it for the same price or $165 next weekend, so you can price match with HD or Lowes for an extra 10% off. Since neither HD or lowes will pm Amazon

Cheers

I bought this earlier this year (bare) and I couldn't imagine ever going back to using a corded one. Worth it if you know you'll use it a decent amount.

This is down to $164.95 if anyone's interested. It's currently out of stock but amazon is still taking orders if you can wait.
