My luck with these cashback sites is very weak. For something like this I suggest taking a screen shot and ensure a follow up. Treat this like any other rebate, i.e. a mir
GCR says the following in their amazon info box:
Conditions :
You must click from GCR before adding an item to the cart or Wish List.
You cannot use GCR to pay for an item in the cart if you did not use GCR to add the item to the cart.
You cannot click on the reorder button. You must use GCR to add the item to the cart
You cannot use GCR to move an item from the wish list to cart if you did not use GCR to add the item to the wish list.

Based on the above, I've always assumed this holds true for ebates too. So my painful process is to:

1. Empty my wishlist, cart and "save for later" of the item.
2. Establish the referral via ebates.
3. Manually re-search for the item, and place it in my cart again.

Steps 1 and 2 I do interchangeably.

Does anyone know better? I'd certainly love to stop doing this if it isn't required.

That came out of nowhere.

I was able to cancel a couple of orders from yesterday and place them again. More than $30 extra in cash back, can't say no to that.

One benefit to Amazon being really slow to ship items the past couple of weeks.

Wow., Thanks.
I just place a big order this morning ($800 worth), just cancel the order and re-order.

1% vs 8% is BIG different on $800 order.

Had to manually request cashback twice from the last 12% deal.
Every trip is ticketed and timestamped so just be ready to compare against your purchase.

Is this why everything in my cart jumped up in price?

Me too. Ebates has given me cash back automatically for every purchase I've made with them (dozens of them) except the one at 12%. I had to ask them to do it but they did come through and it wasn't a hassle dealing with them. Still, it's suspicious.

I thought this would be the perfect moment to get a discount on Playstation Network gift cards, but then I noticed that they are sold on Amazon by *Sony* at a ridiculus price!
- 10$ gift card for 39.99$ + shipping
- 20$ gift card for 49.99$ + shipping
- 50$ gift card for 99.99$ + shipping

What is wrong with these people?

I see they are being sold by "play Canada"

Is "Play Canada" associated with Sony?

Out of a dozen purchases through ebates, only 1 came through.
All the others I had to request cashback by filling out the form.

Hmmm... I bought an echo plus and 2 echo dots a few days ago.

Does amazon keep track of serial numbers? Can I buy them again and then return the new unopened ones with my previous order?

Oh! You are right! It says "by Sony" directly under the name of the item. That's confusing.
