you got internet in your car?
Most new Chevys have hotspots integrated. I'm sure other manufacturers are doing the same.

Yes, when I set up my phone as a hot spot.
It's discrete, to put on window visor. Then I can easily retrofit my Beemer and easily control stuff.
You can't use your phone is tethering mode and wifi mode at the same time. This device either has to be connected to your phone using wifi OR Bluetooth. So I don't it'll work (or work well). If you use Bluetooth to transmit sound to this, then it's just a glorified Bluetooth adapter. Better to just attach the 3.5mm jack to your phone.

It's no different then setting up an echo dot in the car.
When I tell it to play a song on Amazon music or radio station , it will play it out via the 3.5 cable going to my radio.

But do all the features work? Does things like Spotify work without phone being connected. What about calling someone? Does your Echo dot use the Bluetooth channel or WiFi channel in your car to connect to your phone?

I think it would be cool for the car
Great idea. Buy this, one of those Galaxy A10's with a $15/month data plan, a robot arm, and robot foot, a motion sensing camera. Now with a bit of configuration you have a self driving voice controlled car.

Granted, not a very good one. But hey, what do you expect? You could probably get it to auto park your car in an empty parking lot. :-)

I also wonder why Google killed the Chromecast audio. I have two of them and they work great to bring multi room audio functionality to existing speakers. I connect one to my PC speakers input and the other to my Denon Heos speaker in my garage.
