[Amazon.ca] [EPIC] Bosch RA1171 Cabinet Style Router Table $110!!!

Amazon has brought down the price for this amazing router table to $179. As I browse through the product page and found the coupon code 30OFF can be applied to it. It further brings it down to $149 w/ free shipping. it's a no-brainer for that price! Buy now and think later. I've placed my order few minutes ago and share it here.

[Update] Now $110! Amazon dropped price for the router table to $139! Add a $10 filler and use "30OFF" @ check out brings it to $110! Guys placed order earlier might out of luck as the code 30OFF might work only once.

[Update 2] Price backed up to $179. 30OFF code still works if not been used before. Still a good price IMO.

Better sell one of my routers to pay for it.

A home made one was always on my list. However, when I factor in all the high quality materials used, feather boards, table inserts, fence system, etc. Let along the hassle of making a perfect 90, i’d better off buying this.

Will this work with the Canadian Tire mastercraft router or will the insert only fit Bosch routers? - nevermind, it seems so, one of the questions in the reviews indicates that

How to turn on/off an 18V router with slide out switch? Not really accessible to find switch under the table.
Im not familiar with these tables, would ot help me route edges on casing headers?

I started out with one about that size but prefer the table top to be a bit larger.

I spent about 60 on a router plate, 10 on a magnetic switch, and about 10-20 worth of plywood. So yeah, not saving much money, but mine is also a lot bigger than the one here, and I've set mine up to have vertical mitre slots for making sliding router jigs.

And even with my home made one, I'm still considering this deal, lol.

Pretty awesome deal. If I didn't already have a router extension on my table saw, I would be all over this. Even now, I'm tempted to get one. :P

not to piss on the deal but router table is one of those tools with steep depreciation curve. Look on kijiji chances are you'll find used ones, albeit not bosch, for under 50 bucks.

Depends on the quality. Router tables in general can go cheap on Kijiji but you're probably looking at a poor quality Craftsman from the 80s at $50. I check Kijiji for router tables from time to time and I haven't seen the Bosch go for under $100. I think I've seen it around the $150 range.

For space I'd consider this Bosch. If I could properly clean up my garage and had room in my budget, I'd be looking for a floor standing router table from Kreg or Freud (with router) via Kijiji in the $300+ range.

Tried here in BC and they range from 150 for a used Crafstman to 1400 for one beautiful setup. But you're right I have seen cheaper used but usually have to travel or they go fast.

Anyway, it's my Birthday in a couple of weeks and need something to add the the RFD Nvidia Shield (to watch woodworking tutorials of course :) )
