all previous dlc content is on the disc, but don't forget that the game is getting yet another season pass, rendering this royale edition a waste of money. people are better off waiting for the royale edition 2 :D.... not that ff xv is even a good game to begin with but that is just my opinion, of course.

Square Enix is releasing 4 more episode DLC's that aren't covered by the current season pass in 2019. One for Ardyn, Aranea, Luna and a new ending supposedly. Also Aranea's was described as a short mission from IGN. So the Royal Edition only covers what's been released so far. For a complete edition with the 4 (or 3.5) new episodes it's better to keep waiting for a Universe Edition in 2020 for the PS5.

No joke this game was announced in 2006

I bought this game on digital for $30. I've spent about 5 hours on this and even watched the Kingsglaive movie.

I just can't see myself investing more time on this game. The battle system is not for me. I prefer the old school JRPG, turn based style. Like Battle Chasers and Octopath Traveler are my most recent playthroughs.

Loved the game. Bought it day one. Haven't played it since I platinumed it in late December 2016.

That said, I'll wait for when it's $20 to get all the DLC and play through it a second time. I hear the DLC is pretty good and adds more variety to the game and combat as a whole. Being able to control anybody is an important feature for the game that this version added.

The Royal Edition contains a launch disc and a DLC code. You have to redeem the code to download the DLCs.

Disc has no value if that's the case. Unlike the Witcher 3 and Dark Souls 3 Complete Edition which has everything on disc.

DLC is tied to account and is one time use. Not transferable not sharable. Good luck logging in PSN or Live to download contents in 30 years when nostalgic sense tingles.

30 years... I'm hoping I'll be able to emulate PS4 in my contact lens by then.

Contemplated getting this, but I have a backlog of games I need to play before this one. If it drops to $10-20, then maybe I'll grab it.
