Not natively, you have to go through Firefox

I have a Roku 3, for netflix and plex...

is this a good upgrade? (i don't have a 4k tv)

the Roku doesn't support it, but i do have amazon prime (canada), but most shows on it are terrible.

You are fine, if you have amazon prime then get it but if yours are doing the job save the money

They have apps that utilize the web, honestly you will not be able to tell the difference. It's not noticeably lacking at all.

Yup, I have the basic fire stick and going to YouTube on Silk/Firefox is identical to what I'd expect from a 'proper' YouTube app :)

I have a Gen1 FireTV and still have the Youtube app, even though it tells me each time that there is an upgrade available, and gives me a warning that on Jan 2018 it will stop working.
I did do the upgrade once, and it basically removes the app and forces you to use a browser... how stupid. I just sideloaded it back and works normally.

I have also sideloaded a launch for the FireTV that makes it look like the Android TV interface, it's quite nice, but once you reboot that disappears... bummer.

I wish Google would come out with a good Android TV box, in between the Mi Box and the Nvidia Shield, priced right in the middle with best of both features. I would totally buy!

Can I use it to play videos on the hard drive connected to router (Asus AC86)?
And how is its smart interface compared to Vizio P55?

Barring some sort of major firmware issue, this is probably the best product on the market in this category. They kept the price basically the same as the US, and it has an ir+bt remote included. For those of you that are pissed by the lack of YouTube, use this app instead:

Works better and skips most of the ads.

The graphic shows CraveTV, which is going to be included with Rogers if you already get HBO & TMN on Nov 1st, so it'll be nice if it works with this - I don't think Rogers has said how they're making CraveTV accessible yet.
