GTA
In my opinion,
Only downside with this one is that It doesn't have a camera.
I use google duo video calling very often, and lenovo display does excellent job

I agree, the camera is a nice feature and I like how Lenovo executed the camera, the Nest Home Hub or whatever it's called, supposedly has a camera, hopefully it has a physical camera cover like the Lenovo.

If you don't need this right away just wait for second gen. It's getting major upgrades.

The "next gen" is only a rumour so far, it will be under the "Nest" line (Nest Hub Max?) and just like all other Nest products it will not be in the low price range to start like the Google Home products, it will very likely be in the high mid and up range as one of the rumoured upgrades is that it will have a better camera than the Nest iQ cam, so just think about the price that it will be introduced at, probably closer to the Google Home Max's intro price, which was $500+. If the rumours are true I hope it has a smart camera like the Facebook portal does, where it follows the subject. Played around with the portal at a BestBuy in the US, the camera on it is awesome, just wish Google or Lenovo had come out with it rather then Facebook with their privacy issues.

Yes, but also probably a minimum $400 price tag.

I got mine for $66 USD during holidays and we use it as a bedside clock. Love it and while I see how having a camera would be an asset for some, I actually like that it doesn't have a camera... Especially in the bedroom lol

I have a smart display too but waiting for the Lenovo Smart Clock for the nightstand; small, USB passthrough and bedside-centric features.

English only? Or is there a way to set it in french?

French support was enabled a few weeks back via an update.

Unfortunately the smart display/things OS does not support as many languages as the standard GH. Below are the languages that have native/full support on the GHH & Lenovo Smart Display. Interpreter mode supports 30+ languages.

does the lenovo run the same software as this? if it does, is does it get regular updates or does it lag behind the home hub?
