It's been cheaper than this digitally ($17.99), but that was back in August so who knows when it's going to be that again.

That being said, it's easily worth its current full price ($29.99), so yeah.

The digital version was $10 US during Black Friday on Amazon.

tempted...probably won't have time to play for a while...
since Sony is the publisher, any chance this will end up on PS+ sometime in the future?

For me, this game is worth owning a hard copy.

I would say so. There's new Machine tyes, new weapons, and it adds to the Lore.

Also it's significantly harder than the main game.

There actually hasn't been a lot of AAA type Sony games showing up on PS+ for PS4 other Bloodborne or, like, Knack. Or stuff that were standalone expansions or remasters selling for $40 or so. People still keep expecting Killzone or The Order 1886 to show up tho. Yup. Any time now.

It's a pretty significant add-on with a whole new area and new storyline that's loosely connected to the main plot. I beat it once on my normal post-game playthrough, and then again when I started NG+, and it's pretty neat since the characters will often have different comments based on how far you are in the story and what they know about the world.

There are new weapons, as well as a couple of new enemy types that are maybe some of the best they've had in the game. Overall if you enjoyed the main game and want more of everything it is exactly that. No more, no less.
