The SD format is for people who are mainly watching movies on their phones and want to conserve bandwidth, and those older folks who can't see the pimples on the actors faces anyway bcs of vision problems. Not to mention they're half the price of BluRay. Soon enough people will say the same for those buying BluRay format and not 4k.
