What is the purpose of the glass lid? It has a vent hole?

And how about the non stick ceramic, what would you use it for, rice?

The non-stick is my go-to pot for anything that does not have a massive amount of liquid, as stated rice. Everytime I would attempt rice in the SS pot it would stick to the bottom and be a pain to clean

Is it required? Could i use a normal glass lid that fits/closely fits?

But you literally add a few cups of water though?

I lucked out; the steel lids from a Kenmore pot set I found through RFD work nicely on both the 6 litre and 8 litre Instant Pot pots. Try out your existing lids and perhaps you'll already have something.

Using too little water or too much time and you will end up burning the bottom.
I do white rice in the IP and do about 1.5 cups of water for ever cup of rice. For around 7 minutes. Usually don't end up with anything sticking.

Anyone own the Instant Pot Springform cake pan? I am interested in it and wonder if it's any good?
Can't seem to find any video reviews on this specific pan.

So I decided to go ahead and buy this. It shipped yesterday.
Where the heck are these coming from? Estimated delivery is March 22nd and my Canada post tracking number doesn't even work in Canada Post.
Are these shipped in from the US?

Problem with instant pot online store is the glass lids have been sold out since the beginning lol.

I've been waiting since Black Friday and nothing.
Damn I got the email that it was in stock but then it was sold out again !

At the meantime USA store has stock!

Got my instant pot cake pan today and I wasted no time in testing it out. Made a cake from one of those instant cake mixes (betty crocker or whatever). It came out great.
Also the silicone is fantastic. It comes apart from the cake without sticking at all. No need to grease it.
I am pretty happy with this purchase.
