Did you purchase two, two person boats or two singles?

Two two-person boats. For the price I think it is more comfortable to sit only one in the kayak and stills have room for your belongings

I bought a 2 person a couple of years ago. It's awesome. Huge. Well made. I've had my 2 kids and myself on it. Very portable and super easy to inflate. I think it was $99 at the time.

I picked one of these up in 2016 for $102 and used for 2 seasons so far, more then paid for itself so far. My wife and I are about 5'6 and it's a little tight on leg room but otherwise it's great for an hour or two on the water.

This is the lowest price I've seen.

fyi, if you ever need to repair...

Mine popped some holes (my fault), used the patches in the kit which doesn't include adhesive. And I used Shoe Goo, the same as their marine stuff, worked like a charm. You first apply a thin coat to stick the patch, then you completely cover the patch over top in a few thin coats, wait for it to dry in between.

can vouch for it. Bought this kayak 2 years ago and pretty solid construction. Fits in the trunk and did some road trip with it to the addirondacks. (Cost of a kayak rental in addirondacks is like 70 USD for 1 day or more).

Looking to pick up a couple for next summer. Cheap way to get started with kayaking.

There looks to be another model Intex Explorer K2. Anyone used this one before or owned both? Looks to have more space in the cabin of the kayak.

good deal. I saw $84.46 now ... lowest price
I bought this for $102 in 2016.
Heads up:
1) The first one I received has a tiny hole in the bottom. Had it exchanged and the second one is good.
2) I also bought Intex Seahawk4 boat in Jan 2017. It had a small hole too when I used it for the first time in this July. Fortunately Amazon allowed me to return it (no stock at that time).

I've personally bought the other model - Intex Explorer K2. Based on my research, it's a slightly bigger, more spacious kayak with loads of room if you're by yourself and enough leg room if you're with someone else. I bought it last summer and used it at least 10 times so it works great. I'm sure it's the same case with the Challenger.

We also have the Explorer K2 (and the Challenger K1). Use them lots in the summer - super convenient - fits easily in the trunk for transport and only takes a few minutes to inflate and be on the water. Debating whether to pick up this one too....

Thanks for the input. Probably just buy one of each since I'm planning to use them as an one person kayak.
