I only drink cold brew these days and never tried Kicking Horse. Any recommendations for cold brew? The descriptions all say they work for cold brew...

Drip or French Press? No.

Espresso? Yes.
What about for a stovetop espresso maker?

You might want to flip through the posts in this old thread: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/amazon-c ... s-2200964/

This is why I decided to try Smart Ass, and I just added a bag of Hoodoo Jo to my subscription to try out.

What are your french press ratios/technique? I can't seem to ever get the perfect cup. Tried cold brew and found it to be too wasteful of beans

Same price at Loblaws.
I've been waiting for this-- for 6 weeks I've been rolling over a PC Optimum offer for 1800 points on every $9 spent = $8.08 a bag!

Maybe I should buy one from them so they give me the offer too, lol. I only bought from Amazon so I don't have that on mine.

I bought some from Loblaws in June and got the offer a week or two later

Is it really necessary to have a $200 grinder to get good coffee out of whole beans?
Yes. I never knew what a difference a good grinder can make until I bought a Rancilio grinder. It just changed my whole life. It's a burr grinder and we brew espresso for latte coffees. :)

Great find & awesome post, OP. I shall aspire to be like you.

Picked up 4 different medium roasts but it was tough not getting one of every single kind...

Many thanks

This one seems to cost over $500!

Everybody has their own preference when it comes to grinding their beans! ;)

Once again, flip through this old thread for lots of good information, but this direct link is the part about grinders: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/amazon-c ... #p29476772

In regards to price/quality ratio, my preference is obviously the Baratza Virtuoso: www.baratza.com/grinder/virtuoso/

32 g of coarse ground. Heat water to around 190°. Add 100 g of water and let it sit for two minutes. After two minutes stir and add 500 g more and let it sit for two minutes more then plunge. If you would like it stronger let the brew sit for longer. This is just a general guideline but I use it to make consistent cups of coffee.
If it’s not at least 50% off is it really a deal?

With subscribe and save are you locked into the price or will you pay more when the coffee return to regular price?

Did you do subscribe and save or did you add all 5 to your cart?
