Neither Le pan nor amazon.ca will upgrade for you. They both want you buy a new one. Actually Le pan 1's 512m ram can handle simple job only. Uninstall mahong and see if freezes are gone. If so, then your tablet is a good unit. This is the best unit when use it as ebook/email reader, surfing internet or youtube player (720p or below). Advantage of slow cpu/gpu is your unit will have extra long battery life.
so i'll have to refund it and order the II then. basically i tried 3 different versions of the game and all froze an hour into the game. disabled auto updates etc and it still happened. it could be an advertisement in the game and flash related it could be the market update which seems required when using the market. if i do a reset and add nothing and just leave it, it doesn't freeze its normal etc.

Too bad. Price of Le pan II is now marked back to $259. Le pan I is now $109.

For $109 its a great deal... The only downside like some mentioned, is that I get occasional freezes every now and then... depending on the apps you run... I have a pin handy in the case so that I can reset it...

Other than that, its a great little tablet with long battery life, great GPS better than my 2 older Android phones SGS and Legend. It locks in 10-20 secs. Screen is great , plays youtube on non-HD which is fine.. the kids are always watching Mickey Mouse shows for hours...

Ha! Well if it drops down to $50 it'll be the new playbook on RFD.

I'll buy it even if it dips below $65-$70. Right now, $95 is too much for me.

That's not a huge difference. Do you generally buy stuff because you need it or because it's on sale?

This is RFD. People just buy what's on sale whether they need it or not.

sadly very true.
I bought it when this thread first came out. I hardly use mine anymore, and now (for some reason) I want a 7" tablet

The rfd effect is strong with me.

Another tablet deal haha. Now im considering this guy,

would this or the 7in nextbook 7 se premium at costco for 99 be a better deal?
http://www.costco.ca/EFUN%E2%84%A2-Next ... reId=10302

It has 1gb ddr3 with the 9 cpu... 7in or the bigger size does not make a big difference i would rather have better features and for it to run better for games.

its random freezing is too unpredictable it looks nice great battery but the frodo and freezing and not being able to prevent it because its random can be frustrating. If I didn't add any apps or market it was fine but kinda pointless. the le pan 2 at 159 was a better buy

That'd be about a price drop of a third. That's a pretty big difference.

Besides it's not about getting it just because it's on sale - it's about paying what it's worth based on the reviews for me.
