Another tablet deal haha. Now im considering this guy,

would this or the 7in nextbook 7 se premium at costco for 99 be a better deal?
http://www.costco.ca/EFUN%E2%84%A2-Next ... reId=10302

It has 1gb ddr3 with the 9 cpu... 7in or the bigger size does not make a big difference i would rather have better features and for it to run better for games.
No go unless its IPS.

its random freezing is too unpredictable it looks nice great battery but the frodo and freezing and not being able to prevent it because its random can be frustrating. If I didn't add any apps or market it was fine but kinda pointless. the le pan 2 at 159 was a better buy
Haven't you tried the CM7 ROM ?

I've had mine for over a year with lots of regular use and have zero issues. All I did was root it.

mine is collecting dust too, i prefer to carry a 7inch tablet, way more portable and fits inside my jacket pocket, i wished they did have a lepan 7inch ips, would be awesome

i still get the odd random freeze but i try to keep a pin nearby or on the case protector sleeve

2must have apps for the lepan I: juice defender ultimate to save even more battery

and speed boost pro , helps free up RAM, i think i have around 300Megs free all the time with tons of apps installed when i hit the speed boost widget

This is RFD. People just buy what's on sale whether they need it or not.

That'd be about a price drop of a third. That's a pretty big difference.

Besides it's not about getting it just because it's on sale - it's about paying what it's worth based on the reviews for me.
When you need a new toothbrush would you spend year waiting until it drops by 1/3 of the price?
Also, the reviews that you mention are probably also at least a year old now.

I need a toothbrush otherwise dental bills would negate the savings from waiting. However I do stock up on them when I see a good deal actually.

As for the reviews being a year old so what. The product is the same. If anything reviews over a years or years can be used to gague the prodoct over the long term.

Besides why do you care and what business is it of yours how much I'm willing to pay for something?

Le Pan never got back to me ever again after I opened a ticket and requested an RMA, and they kept giving me automated responses. I don't know if they'll still honour their warranty since their delayed responses have pushed me beyond the one year period.

The power button is unresponsive and it's completely useless. I'm going to just follow the guide someone posted online about fixing the button with some super glue and salvage some use out of the tablet.

Also Netflix doesn't work on my tablet for some reason. Its only function in my parents' household now is to check email, use some apps and surf the web.

I'm fully convinced that this product and company fall under the "you get what you pay for" category.

If you need a tablet then it's also for some kind of savings, e.g. ability to efficiently and comfortably work, communicate, access information in situations when you couldn't before. So every minute that you wait for the price to drop you are depriving yourself of those savings. Is it worth it?

Do you stock up on tablets too?

The issue with old reviews is that in technology world time moves fast, so currently there might be a better value product than was available in the past.

Exactly. Which is why I find it annoying when people keep posting what the price has to be for them to buy it. I honestly don't care, go tell it to Amazon instead.
