[Amazon.ca] LG 34GL750 34 inch Monitor curved gaming FreeSync 144HZ HDR10 (499$)

Great deal for a 34'' ultra-wide. I got the 75hz at my job for past 2 years ans works great!

1080p is fine, you get used to it so quickly. I have a 1440p 32 inch monitor and a 1080p, side by side you notice.. When you just use the 1080p everything is good still.

You have a 32 inch 1080p? Which one? Also, have you compared it with 27 inch 1440p? Do you notice anything?

I think 1440p with a refresh rate of 75-120 hz is a pretty good compromise. More pixels will make the image look better especially if the monitor is bigger (like 27" or 32")

Two things people should know about this monitor. The HDR is a gimmick. It's below the required nits and is software emulated, so what you will see will probably be nothing great at all if not worse tbh.

The HDR and Freesync cannot be used together, so it's one or the other.

Otherwise for a FPS widescreen gaming monitor it isnt bad otherwise.

Not worth it just wait for the 1440p screens to come down. If your a gamer you could probably disable AA.

Taken from Reddit:
A good baseline to compare is 91.8 DPI on a 24 inch screen at 1920x1080. Anything lower than this starts to really lack sharpness/look grainy.
27 inch at 1920x1080 = 81.6 DPI (lower than baseline).
27 inch at 2560x1440 = 108.8 DPI (better than baseline).
34 inch ultrawide at 3440x1440 = 109.7 DPI (better than baseline).
34 inch ultrawide at 2560x1080 (this display) = 81.7 DPI (lower than baseline).
29 inch ultrawide at 2560x1080 = 95.8 DPI (better than baseline).

If you want to check DPI of any other monitor you can use pxcalc.com
1080p is already worse at 27", I'd not recommend at 34".

Its a Samsung led 32 Inch curved 1080p dunno the model. It's fine, people are picky. I had the 27 inch Dell 144hz 1440p that was on RFD before, I returned it due to quality issue, but really resolution isn't that different. Just get a 32 1080p with 144hz would look great

Ive seen them running both, 3440x1440 and 2560x1080 and though 3440x1440 looks better, it's not like 2x better either. 2560x1080 looked just fine especially in games. 3440x1440 looks much better on desktop though, that's for sure. In gaming though, not the same difference. If you want to run everything in a game with Ultra settings, especially if you have an RTX card and enable that feature going back down to 1080p is a compromise I would dare to say, you will probably have to make to enjoy good frame rates. 1080p is much easier drive for competitive gaming so hitting 144hz is achievable consistently.

Actually it's literally the same as a 27"

i.e. at 34" ultrawide (21:9) the pixels are the exact same size as a regular (16:9) at 27"
