[Amazon Canada] [Out of Stock] VIOFO A129 Duo Front and Rear Dash Cam $30 Off + 50% Off on Accessories + 8% Ebates

$30 off with this promo code HIW78T46 = $196.99 ($181.23 after 8% Ebates)

And 50% off on accessories. I recommend these two:
Wiring Kit for Parking Mode: VIOFO A129 Car Dash Camera 3 Wire Acc HK3 Hardwire Kit for Parking Mode $9.99 After 50% off with 3N852ELG
CPL Filter to reduce glare at night: VIOFO A129 CPL Filter Lens Cover for A129 Duo Dash Camera$9.99 After 50% off with 5M3DIP28

If you need an SD Card, this looks like a good deal, too. They are the higher end TLC cards (better for dashcams), but I don't know the quality of the Viofo ones (they say it's Made in Taiwan and have a 1-year warranty):
VIOFO 64GB SD $19.99 After 50% off with E9C82N59

Plus additional 8% Ebates

I got one last December and it works pretty well. The VIOFO A119 (front only) has been a popular budget good quality dashcam the past few years. I think it's the best among the budget brands. And dollar-for-dollar could be a better value than the more expensive BlackVue, Thinkware, Street Guardian.

If you setup parking mode, you need to connect the power to the dashcam directly, not on the GPS (as is the usual setup for this dashcam).
Also when using parking mode, that's more read/write on your SD Card.

DashCamTalk has this as the best Budget Dual Camera for 2019
The VIOFO A129 Duo is one of the best dual cameras available given its video quality for both front and rear due to the Sony STARVIS IMX291 sensors used for both cameras. The other aspects of the camera are excellent as well including the discreet wedge shaped form factor, excellent build quality and good reliability.

While the A129 Duo does not have prebuffered parking mode when hardwired, the time lapse and low bitrate parking modes work well. While not the cheapest dual camera, price is reasonable given the overall quality provided. Definitely an excellent buy.

Thread Summary
Forgot that there's 8.0% Ebates for Amazon Canada today so that take the price down further to $181

Seems to be multi-use - applied to my cart (didn't buy but will consider it!)

edit: 50% off the hardwire kit if you buy the A129 at the same time. Use code 3N852ELG to make it $10+tax.
ninja edit #2: same thing for the lens filter. Use code 5M3DIP28 to make it $10+tax

Damn it OP, I bought the aukey one in november for 130. I'd return it but taking it apart is a pain. I recommend people use the hardwire kit, it's not that hard to install and it looks better than a wire running to your cig lighter.

This has wifi downloading apparently.

Was waiting for it to go on sale, I will buy one.

Thanks OP.

Looks like they're promoting their dual cam as it's a recent release so I doubt if there's one for any of the A119 series.

They do have a Wi-Fi app. It's pretty crude but works. I find it's really easy to pop-out the SD Card so I haven't downloaded via Wi-Fi. But I've used the app to configure the device. That said, it's fairly easy to configure on the device directly. I don't think they have a 4K model yet. But for the purposes of a dashcam, 1080P is good. And you'll just kill your SD Card faster with 4K as dashcams do constant writes on the SD Cards.

I purchased in December when they had it at $15 off and 50% off the accessories. No regrets so far. I did a lot of research and bought the A119. Then I realized that VIOFO came out with a dual cam. I figured it's 2019, might as well go for the dual cams. And I had it professionally installed and paid $145 ($60 for front only, $100 for front and back, $145 if you have a hatchback/SUV). It cost almost as much as the dashcam itself but installation was done very well. However, they plugged in the power to the GPS Mount and for parking mode, it should be plugged in directly to the dashcam.

If you got the dual cam for $130, then that's a good deal anyway. Aukey is great with customer service/warranty so you're in good hands. And it looks like a clone of the Viofo anyway. I agree with using the hardwire kit. Looks so much cleaner (I did spend an arm and a leg for the install but it should be fairly easy to do it yourself).

I've had two viofos (a119/a119s) and both have died on me. Obviously this is a different model but I've put them on my blacklist for now.

Which kit did you use? Mine stopped sending power so I'm looking for a replacement. The quality seems dubious as well (of the kit)

Recent? It’s been available for 6+ months from Viofo’s website and eBay.

I’m going to wait till a duo cam can do at least 60 @ 1080p before I upgrade my 119s.
