I personally would not recommend Acer, have had too many issues on laptops and will never buy Acer again

Hi there,

I have no issues with Acer. I guess it depends on the product. I still have my old Netbook. It still works. :D

I do not understand why thte 15.6" version is always cheaper than the 14" version even if both have the exact same specs... 15.6" is too big for me to carry around!

Are you sure 17 inches won't be too big for her?

its for home use, mainly in her bedroom, she doesn't want a desktop, 17 inch laptops are obsolete these days lol
i'll prolly have to look on KJ for a cheap 17inch laptop..but event then its hard to find, not many selling or have thse

Personal experience with laptops and different brands is very YMMV. I've had HP laptops that were great and HP laptops that were horrible. I bought an ACER laptop in 2010 that still works today (obviously a little slower and outdated specs). I've replaced the Harddrive and other than that everything is solid. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another

Once you try 17 you never go back to 15.6

Hi there,

I find 17 is a too big, but better for gaming. *lol* 14 is great for travelling. 15.6 is good for office work. :D It is all depending what you use it for...

I ordered it about an hour ago, when there was about 10% left.
Seems a good general purpose laptop.
I was about to post it, but then I saw this thread.
