Half price diapers is a really good deal, but only if you need diapers. Of course.
except you see those sales every week at superstore.
Only good deal for rfders is the amazon chase visa with $30 sign up bonus

after checking out Amazon.ca, I immediately come to this forum and became completely satisfied when I see this thread.

Speak for yourself. I've spent $300 on Amazon already on some stellar deals.
Would have been $500 if I didn't miss a bunch of stuff I wanted that sold out.

You went half on the 55 gallon of lube?

Was looking for an excuse to spend money.

I checked amazon.ca periodically throughout the day, and did not find anything worthwhile.

What did you buy and at what prices? Would like to hear if someone actually got a deal....

Only thing I ordered was a gift card pack to get the $5 bonus.

Overall it was pretty much like any boxing day / black friday sale. A couple of items that are pretty sweet deals, but mostly just items that are discounted at the same rate you'd expect them to be discounted during any sale.

The diapers were a legitimately smoking deal. The absolute best sale price we ever see on the largest "economy" packs of diapers is $29.99. The usual sale price is $33. Today with Amazon Family and the prime sale they were $10. And between all the varieties one could order about 30 boxes. That's a real savings of at least $600. And if you don't have enough kids to use up all the diapers, they are one of the easiest things to sell locally for very nearly full price. I expect to use about half of my 5000 diapers, and flip the other half for about $200 profit.

How much do you want to bet that there will be "Prime members only" back to school sale on Aug 16th or shortly thereafter?

I'm willing to bet on those odds.

I bought a bunch of random things that were a bunch of bucks off each.

-Post Its
-Tape
-Electronic Earmuffs
-Trigger Lock
-Plastic case
-Random pet junk
-Capture card (probably the best at $180 vs $130)
-Utility Pump

Nothing was spectacularly cheaper but everything had a pretty good savings behind it.

There was a few other things I would have jumped on if I didn't already have them.
