[Amazon Canada] Rachio smart sprinkler controller (2nd Gen) 8 zones 149,99$

Great deal on a well reviewed smart sprinkler controller. Works with Alexa, IFTTT, Smartthings, Nest (no Homekit).
Same price at Best Buy (https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/ra ... 29006.aspx).

Usually, 250$CAD and still 250USD on Amazon.com as of now. The 16 zones version does not seem to be on sale.

If you can live with 6 zones check out b-hyve by orbit on Amazon for $124.00. bought one last spring and works great with Android and iOS apps. Not sure about connected home devices. Has conventional controls at the box, which is waterproof. Box is quite large but that does make for easy connections.

Interesting, says it supports Alexa.
The Rachio claims to use algo to model soil humidity without the need to use a moisture sensor

I got mine last summer for $250 (I knew it'd be cheaper over the fall/winter, but I didn't want to wait).

I have zero complaints or issues with this thing, and in fact I probably sold 3-4 for rachio, last summer to friends who came over.

I only run 5 zones, but the app lets you "hide" unused zones.

At $150, it's an absolute no brainer. Buy now, and thank the OP in June....

Bought it from bestbuy instead. Wanted to be able to return it in case i regret it in 30 days.

BTW, apparently there is a software version 3 update coming soon, but no gen 3 hardware update. So Gen 2 should be good for a while especially since it supports amazon alexa, google home, etc.

Thanks! Probably about $200 with currency exchange and shipping. Too bad I missed out. Was thinking about it then it went OOS at BestBuy.ca and the price went back up on Amazon. Sigh, should have bought first, thought later like a real RFDer!

I might be wrong on this, but I thought Camel3 can sometimes miss deals if they come and go extremely quickly.
