So your phone number worth $5?
Admittedly, you've probably already used your phone # at some point for an Amazon order.

Too much limitation on the $5 promo credit. May better to get 10% GC sale.

You might be right. It does expire in Feb of 2020. Probably worthwhile if you shop on Amazon often though. Getting $5 for $50 isn't terrible.

I went for the offer in early July. I haven't received my credit. Such a pain to do a follow-up with them.

Facebook promised that they would only use your phone number for 2FA and we learned that they were using it for ad targeting among other things. Scumbags.

FWIW (especially for the tin foil hatter who are reluctant to give out their primary numbers)...

1. Amazon accepted two different VoIP numbers (Fongo and TextNow) then emailed me to say they couldn't deliver texts to those numbers. As a result I used an email address on the third try. That worked of course but didn't qualify for the $5. So I Chatted them up to explain the situation. They gave me the $5 as a good will gesture.

2. US phone numbers get rejected out of hand.
