The canadian price of the whole Foods brand is really inflated. I bought cashew butter for 10$ a few weeks ago and now, the price is 12$. Unless they slash their prices by at least 25%, i will buy elsewhere.

It started as soon as they received regulatory approval last month. Not sure why it’s being posted today.

Cashew butter is so easy to make in a decent (not even high end) blender I'm shocked anyone would pay $10-$12 for a jar! You can make enough weekly to last you the week at probably a fraction of the cost...

Fraction? Like a couple of dollars? 9/10th of $10-12 is still a fraction. Cashew alone is already quite expensive. Plus you need ghee which is also expensive. Then you have to roast it and blend it and wait it it out, that's a lot of effort. Just eat the cashew, take a bite of the toast and call it a day.

Or am I thinking of the online shopping experience and they have your order ready for you to go pick it up?

I buy coke/Pepsi name Brandd for $1 on sale for a 2 liter.. it's on sale 99% of the time at one store or the other. Even when it's not, I don't think it's $3 off sale...

Some of their stuff is pretty pricey. Maybe it's good for online delivery, but I thought they were going to slash prices by quite a bit to make their new brand more competitive. I can walk across the street to the corner store and buy a 2 liter for this price.

I don't think targeted demographic is the price sensitive one even after the acquisition.
