[Amazon Canada] Snap circut sc100 34.99-canada post 5.00- prime 10%

Shopping for snap circuts and this set sc-100 is 49.99 to 44.99 everywhere else.

I used the canada post 20 dollar load bonus and prime members get an addition 10% off. So it came to 29 dollars tax in.

Quite a few of the other kits are also on sale at varying discounts -- Lights is a really nice one.

This is a really great product - both my kids (5 yrs apart in age) love building projects with it. Good quality construction of modules, good documentation, great expansion kits.

I'm not sure what you're referring to with the canada post bonus. Can you explain? Thanks!

Yup. We've got like 10+ different sets -- at the point where almost any set we don't have just duplicates stuff we already have. The kid was addicted for a while -- I explained how each component works and incredibly, at age 6, he can actually create new circuits that make sense and work! in addition to correcting me at times!

Go with the lights kit. It's a lot of fun. The green energy kit is the next one that I want but they increased the price by about $8 for this promo.

He grabbed it from Amazon - 3camels show it dipped down to under $50 a short while ago. Lowest ever is $41 and change.

The Rover is pretty cool but not at a good price right now. It fires styrofoam discs -- unfortunately ours has broken down :(.

If your kid is into this kind of stuff, skip the starter sets that only give you a few resistors+capacitors+misc and (this info not for you since you've got the SC-300 but for others who haven't bought anything yet) get one of the larger non-specialized (SC-500 or SC-750) sets cuz you'll quickly want more pieces and will end up buying them anyways. Green is good for learning about energy sources but the kid has to be interested in that.

There's also a set called Snapino which contains an Arduino UNO microprocessor that you can code to controlling your projects -- but that's best for older kids (and not at a good price right now).
